I stepped cautiously across the line that was invisible except to smell. Ears low to the ground, I was hoping that no wolf would notice I was here. I was just trying to pass through and didn't want to cause any trouble. I was running from a past that I couldn't remember but knew from instinct that it was dangerous and was gonna catch up to me if I didn't keep moving but I was getting so tired. But as I was thinking about this and trying to keep focus on just passing through, I noticed all the snow and thought that it seemed like a very comfortable bed right this moment. I also noticed a small puddle that was frozen over. I hadnt had water in a good day or so, slowly walking up to the puddle, I licked the icy frozen water, feeling trickles of it flowing down my parched throat. Not getting much water and feeling week, walked over to a good spot in the snow and digging in it, made a hole. thinking that any wolf who came by and told her that she had to leave that she imidiatly would but she needed some rest knowing that she is probably deyhdrated from lack of water and losing unhealthy amounts of weight with not eating for the past 2 or so days, out of lack of things to hunt. I crawled down into the hole tha twas just big enough for me and slowly fell into a deep slumber, knowing I would be awake in an hour or so and up and moving again so no troubles where caused from me staying to long.

Kai stepped across the icy ground. She watched each step, muzzle close to the snow. She could smell something out there. As she looked up, she heard the song of a Robin above her. He was perched happily on the branch, singing his joyous song. The bird fluttered down in front of Kai. She looked at it curiously, then nuzzled it, as if to say, "Go on, now." The Robin cocked his head, then took off across the white landscape. There were light flurries falling, and Kai continued her journey. She kept low to the ground, aware of her surroundings. She looked for any other wolves, any other animals to watch out for. *** There was a small burrow in the snow. By now, the wind had picked up, and Kai was slightly chilled. Being an Earth Element, she wasn't particularly used to the cold weather. Puffs of breath rose from her mouth as she investigated the hole. She pushed her nose deeper in, getting the best of her. She saw a large figure, and yanked her snout away as fast as possible. Maybe it's friendly, she thought. And maybe it's not.
